Information about DR‌I Surgical Kit

Get acquainted with the Surgical Simple Kit of the DRI Implant System. The surgical kit of the DRI Implant System allows you to use all diameters of this system in various cases. One of the advantages of this kit can be its simplicity and user-friendliness. In the first section, drills are provided, which can be used to follow the implant placement, and in the next section, parallels are designed to help you follow the orientation of placing multi-unit implants and also to measure the depth of the holes using these parallels. And in the third section of this kit, you can use a set of drivers according to your needs. The first advantage of this kit is that all diameters of the DRI system, from 3.7 to 4, 4.5, and 5, have the same platform of 2.5, which is similar to many reputable Korean systems.

Explanation of the drills

Long shaft Drill

You will need this drill because sometimes the proximity of neighboring prosthetic teeth will not allow access to the site if the drill is short. Being able to reach the site ensures that even in an area with adjacent teeth, osteotomy site can be marked.

Surgical Kit Drills

Drills designed in the DRI surgical kit include diameters of 2, 3.7, 4, and 4.5. Each of these drills has specific depth marks. In this drill, there is a thin line that has a diameter of 8 millimeters. Then you will see a dark band that is 2 millimeters high, and after that, you will see a light band that is also 2 millimeters high, with its beginning at millimeter 10 and its end at millimeter 12. Then you will see a thin strip that represents millimeter 14. All of these depth marks are present on all drills. Note: DRI surgical kit drills do not come with a stopper, but if needed, you can add a stopper to this set. On all drills, corresponding depth marks are indicated with a specific color for each diameter.
Red color: for 3.7mm holes
Yellow color: for 4mm holes
Blue color: for 4.5mm holes

Guide Pins

As you know, guide pins are usually used to check orientation. At the end of each guide pin in the DRI system, they are designed to be 2 millimeters in shape so that you can inspect the hole direction and if it is correct, continue drilling.

Drill Extensions

The extension available in the DRI surgical kit is tasked with increasing the height of basic drills. If there is a hole near neighboring teeth or any other problem that restricts access and prevents the drill from fully entering the hole and performing proper drilling, the drill extension helps place the angled drill on it, enabling you to have a longer drill to prepare the hole depth correctly and as expected.

Drivers

The DRI implant system surgical kit includes cover screw drivers and healing abutment drivers designed in size 1.2. There are two drivers in the kit, one in medium size and the other in long size. These drivers are similar to Korean brands with the same normal ratchet that you have on brands. The ratchet in the DRI implant system surgical kit is used in clockwise and counterclockwise directions. Finally, there are 4 final sections for implant drivers. 2 drivers for working with hand insertion of implant and 2 drivers for motorized insertion of implant. If you wish to perform your implant surgery with an implant motor, you can use these 2 drivers for angulation so that you can perform the recommended minimum torque for implant placement.
Note: All of these insertion parts of the DRI surgical kit are compatible with all Korean systems with internal hex dimensions of 2.5, which are similar dimensions among brands, and DRI implants are also designed on this platform.
